OK, anybody who thinks they might fit into Travis Montana's shirts might want to check out a certain Starhunter tv forum. Seems Spike has more of his collection up for sale (trying to keep this hush-hush so a certain costumejunkie doesn't invade )

Sly dog . The auctions can be found here. I've still got that second Dakkota patch that I could be persuaded to part with . I'll likely hang onto the remainder "PDAs" though. cheers, Adam

oh man take a break and miss all teh good stuff............ hope everything went well and cheers to you Adam And here I thought folk would have time off between Christmas and New Years and spend it (and xmas money) surfing the 'net! The auctions didn't go as well as I had hoped, but well enough that I can't complain . As loath as I was to part with some of my Starhunter pieces, I just had no practical way to display this many wardrobe pieces, and they were just going to slowly deteriorate in the closet. cheers, Adam

Well, I hope whoever won them is at least a Starhunter fan (or a Clive R. fan) I just hate to see them get into the hands of speculators (whom seem to abound on ebay).
I still have to do some animation with my Supermax PDAs sometime, when I can borrow a camera to shoot some footage.

I had forgotten about those PDAs. What kind of footage do you mean?

I had forgotten about those PDAs. What kind of footage do you mean? I was thinking of just a short bit of live footage (I suppose I could even use a low-rez webcam if I bother to purchase one) of somebody (me maybe?) handling and using one of the PDAs so I could animate the holographic interface/display and composite it with the live footage (another project for Lightwave, as if I don't have enough to learn already).

Coolness. I've still got that stack of season2 PDAs and a newly acquired 3CCD DV cam, and stack of about-to-arrive computer toys to capture, edit and burn DVDs... maybe we can do something collaborative. cheers, Adam

One was someone from the "old" board (remember Norma in the UK?) and the other seems a random fan that managed to buy a CG F/x house crew Starhunter crew jacket on eBay (I was obviously asleep at the wheel or I would have found it and bid on it myself). cheers, Adam

SO you want to make the PDA effects like in Season two? But the Supermax PDA is from Season One, isn't it? I guess that doesn't really matter. That could look really cool.

Sounds like you do have a fun set-up there. Man! Making props and costumes and cool movie gear just isn't enough for you? I don't yet know how to do advanced stuff like tracking a moving camera or anything like that yet, but some simpler shots I could probably composite onto. I'm still a novice, struggling with Lightwave's basics, but something challenging is probably the best way to learn.

Now I'll have to watch the original Supermax episode again. I though the PDAs in Season 1 were still holographic, weren't they? Maybe I've been watching Season 2 too much.

To be honest, I don't recall ever seeing that PDA in Season One. So I couldn't tell you for sure whether or not they were holographic.

Hey! Sounds like you do have a fun set-up there. Man! Making props and costumes and cool movie gear just isn't enough for you? Um... no . I've got aspirations of making my own movie someday, even if it's just a low/no-budget horror flick for fun, and this is a way to start. Besides that, I don't have enough fingers and toes to count all my extracurricular interests and activities . cheers, Adam
