Oh yes! I think it was the group Space that quoted: "The female of the species is more deadly than the male" (They look a whole lot better too )

I know it's been a while since some one has posted on this bust me being a new member and my love for all things star wars I think i can make this point clear. What I can't understand is why if the Sith are like another cult, following a different view of how the Force should be used, is there only 2. I mean, it sounds like a pretty crappy following to me. How can 2 people do so much damage, person for person I guess the Sith are far more able than the Jedi [/quote] There are only 2 because they tried it the other way and failed. At first there were as many as there were Jedi and for a while they ruled the galaxy. Only for a short time though. They are so driven by greed and lust for power that they destroyed them selves quite thoroughly. After trying for a while to rebuild and never pulling it off they realized that there must only be a master and an apprentice, and most of the time the apprentice ended up killing the master so he could take the position. The problem I can never figure out is why the Sith keep taking apprentices. lol

That is a good question indeed, If you knew that your apprentice was going to kill you would you take onme? maybe when I was old and decrepit I would just to make sure that the ways would continue but you can bet I would not for aloooooonnnnngggggg time

Well, in episode three we definitely saw that the Chancellor seemed to be able to manipulate Anakin very well, so in his case I think he picked his apprentice with it in mind that he wanted one he could control.

I suppose the Sith Master is always in the belief that he will be able to beat his apprentice.
Like the info ref why there are only 2 Smellywookiee, I suppose it makes sense that the lust for power would cause chaos amongst their own ranks! ;D

This could be true, too. But as we saw in the later (actually, earlier) episodes The Emperor held power for a long, long time. Vader didn't turn against the Emperor until he tried to kill Luke.

Maybe that's because they had reached where they wanted to be (on top!). Inner fighting usually takes place when you're trying to get to the top and are under pressure. Also (and not knowing the other ways Sith Apprentices were recruited), Vader was in the belief that the Alliance stood for the death of his wife, the one person he finally accepted the darkside for in the first place.

Most likely Vader had no desire to be the top man. He allowed the Emperor to rule for a very long time. Of course, the top man is often the top target so sometimes it's better to be a lesser target.

Well at first Vader did want to overthrow the Emperor and take the throne, but when he lost most of his body he lost a lot of his power for some reason. Maybe it was blocked by the shock and trauma or just because he was mostly machine he couldn't bring enough power to bare to beat the Emperor. Till the end of ROTJ of course. If you read the Episode 3 book it kinda points to Vader, while still being powerfully had become more a "symbol" of the sith than anything else.
