Another Adventure/Horror movie not scary enough for Horror but too many of the old monsters(IE Vampires,Wolf Man,Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde) for pure adventure. Hugh Jackman plays Van Helsing-The ultimate monster hunter. Paid by a super secret sect of the Roman Catholic Church--He is neither a Priest nor a holy man, hated by many worshipped by others. Great effects, Good use of Monsters, not a great plot. Wait til you find it on sale somewhere.

This movie was just plain wrong, wrong, wrong. Yes I do mean Wrong. After all it had almost no story, and plot.

It was ok, but I definately wouldn't pay full price for it,I think alot of the problem's had to do with time restraints of a movie,It would probably have been better as a mini series, give it more time to really work,(or even a series of movies). I did like the effects-but the wolfman was too "cattish" to be a real "wolf-man" and the Brides of Dracula needed more time for their parts- I thought The Frankenstein Monster was well done, but overall this movie was not as good as I expected it to be.

Well I like that they had all these characters from the different literary books of classic horror. It was almost like they tried do do something like the black and white films of old. Though I have to say that Abbott and Costello movies where they meet these different monster are more interesting than Van Helsing.

Great special effects, but the movie wasn't that great. Van Helsing is always after Dracula or vampires, that makes sense, but if your Dracula, why do you need Frankenstein, your already immortal, don't serve the purpose. Why chance the way you kill Dracula after 60 years

It was sacreligious to use a Bram Stoker charactor in a kind of generic monster movie.
