So no one is going to continue asking question then. If there is still no one asking after a week I'll say who I am and start over again.

Sorry, I had forgotten about this.
Could you clarify: by "late nineties", do you mean that's when the show/book was released, or that's when it takes place?
Also: Is the character part of a crew (i.e. of a starship)?

Ok lets get things a little more set up right then, character Male, ensemble cast, on Earth. I'll even say in North America, books came out early 90's TV show around 2000- 2001. Oh and he's Human.

At first I thought you might be Jeremiah, but I think that ran past 2001.
Could you be Ethan Embry from Freakylinks.
If not, will this series have been aired in the UK?

Ok, are you Alec X5-494, played by Jenson Ackles in the series Dark Angel based in Seattle?

Got to admit, I'm stumped on this one!
I know the series is still ongoing, but I believe it started around 2000 don't know about books; are you Lexx Luthur from Smallville.
I say this because of the following info found on a web site: The actual location of Smallville was never originally specified in any state in the comics (though it was placed in Maryland in Amazing Worlds of DC Comics #14), and its location varied widely throughout many stories, most of which placed it close to Metropolis and Midvale, home of Supergirl. It was eventually placed in Kansas in the Superman movies and finally in the comics which took the movies' lead. The town was first given the name "Smallville, USA" in Superboy #2 (1949).
Otherwise I think I'm in need of another clue.

No the series isn't still ongoing it ended after 3 seasons. I'm sorry if I didn't make this clearer. And the state that the show and books takes place in is NM
