What I find so funny about this consol system is that MS is using a modified PowerPC chip for the heart of the system. So it looks like they are trying to make a Mac. What also funny is that the developer tools for designing games is also on the Mac.

I like X-Box but my kids prefer playstation, so I end up playing the Xbox games by myself. The new system sounds interesting and it will be fun to find out what it's like. As for pre-ordering, I had a bad experience with that. I pre-ordered a PSP and then ended up seeing it in Target without getting a call from the place I pre-ordered it from.

Well I talked with a guy that saw the X-Box 360 in action and he said that it just sucked the graphics were terrible. As for pre-ordering, well I for one don't think that pre-ordering hardware is never a good thing, its always better to get one after its been out for awhile and you can hear what everyone has to say about them.

Coming out in 2006 will be Playstation 3 and a new game system from Nintendo, replacing Gamecube.

The new X-Box will be out before the new Playstation and Nintendo systems. They are sayng that X-Box 360 will be released by late this year. That's normally for pre-orders. By March it will probably be available for everyone. Since Playstation 3 and Nintendo's new systems don't have a release date until sometime in 2006, it looks to me like probably by the summer of 2006 they will be in the stores and available to everyone.

Next week baby. I don't know about you all but my family and thanks giving might end up in the back seat of things to remember for next week. The 360 will be in stores on the 22nd. Ive had mine pre ordered since May and I'll finally get to play it at 12:01 a.m. Nov. 22nd ;D. Sorry if I'm ranting, but instead of a football game after thanks giving dinner it will be Perfect Dark on the 360. ;D

Well? Did you get it?
I know I heard the stories on the radio that a lot of stores had people lined up outside their stores with sleeping bags so that they could get the 360?
It's already been sold out and they say new units will be available by Valentine's day.

Thats one thing that I will never understand. if I'm going to get a game system I'll wait a couple of months and wait for the price to drop. then I'll pick it up. Then there are the people that are bitting on ebay for one, its like I think I can wait and actually get it at the regular price than at the price that they are bitting for it.

I agree with Jabberwocky.
Ok, I know the PS3 is imminent but: On initial release the PS2 was just shy of £300, within 6 months of it's release you could take nearly £100 off its price. Now it's under £100.
I think I would wait for all three consoles to be released as it is only after a little time that you find out just how well they measure up to each other. ;D
Also a little concerned in what Jabberwocky says about the PowerPC Chip. Sounds a little like using old technology, repackaged as new? (Wouldn't put it past them!)

Don't be to concerd over the Power PC chips they are a great chip that IBM makes, Still even with the new chip set for the system MS still can't make a system that doesn't crash while trying to play it.
