Has anyone tried this Dungeon Hack game? It's similar to Diablo, or older Rogue-likes like ADOM and NetHack, but with some pretty nice graphics, and fun gameplay. Not that ADOM or NetHack weren't fun, of course. You start out in the town of Grove, situated near the entrance to a very dangerous dungeon. You are a young hero who has to delve deep into this dungeon to kill a powerful enemy, who is randomized each time you play. While you're building up your character, finding new weapons and items, and making your way down to the 47th level of the dungeon, to do small missions for the various townspeople. With the help of a scroll or spell, you can also warp back to the town any time, so you can buy new weapons and get new quests. Anyway, although your main objective is at the 47th level, you can keep on going if you choose to, and there are 65,535 randomized levels to the dungeon, each harder than the last, and filled with monsters, relic weapons, and interesting shrines. You also have a pet to accompany you. It starts out as either a cat or dog (you choose) and you can cats fish (some of which have swallowed gems or rare items) and feed them to your pet in order to change it into a different, stronger creature for a time (some will have a permanent effect, until you give it a different fish). It's pretty addictive, especially if you like freeform dungeon crawl RPGs. The demo allows you to play as far as dungeon level 5 or so, but the full version is $20. www.fatethegame.com

Hiya Vanguard, Must admit, I'm trying to save the cash for a holiday to Lapland in early Dec 05; take my 4yr old son to meet Santa and elves/reindeer ( the wife's just as excited : , before the magic of Christmas is destroyed by some other child at school telling him it's not real! Anyway, I've started replaying Warhammer Dawn of War, hoping that by not spending money now the wife will allow me to look at getting the following: The Roots, UFO Aftershock and Warhammer Winter Assault; I hope they are as good as they look in their previews.

I'm not as into computer games as I am into the playstation, nintendo and X-box games. I find the computer games tend to run a little too slow on my computer.

Warhammer sounded pretty neat. I hear the 'finishing moves" for some of the units were pretty neat.

Basically the only computer games we play are those for the kids, like the Scooby Doo ones.
